Born into the wedding business, Derrick has been an award-winning floral designer since the age of eight. Steeped in the art of all things wedding by watching his mom making wedding dresses, floral arrangement (his great-grandmother), cakes (his great aunt and aunt) it was almost a foregone conclusion that he would end up in the event business.

In the ensuing three decades he has built Taylor & Co into one of the foremost boutique event houses in Chicago, serving those who wish to enjoy a special gathering or celebration with creativity, style and an unsurpassed attention to detail.
