Taylor & Co has been the family business since 1942. With generations of experience, their skills have been perfected into one of the finest boutique event houses operating in Chicago today.

Growing up, Derrick was surrounded by weddings. From cakes to gowns, florals to event catering, he was given first hand experience. His mother made and altered gowns, his aunt and great aunt taught him how to make wedding cakes and his great grandmother taught him all about flowers. Some of Derrick’s earliest and happiest memories were sitting on her lap reading books about all varieties of flowers and how they could be used.

By the time Derrick was 8, he was already entered into his first competition for floral arranging at the county fair. Not surprising to most who know him, Derrick took first place and proceeded to win for a further 13 years in a row. Which about sums Derrick up; a man who brings his A game every single time.
